Furio Minuti

Furio Minuti born in Macerata in 1952, where he currently lives and works, Furio Minuti earned a degree in architecture in 1978 at the University of Florence. His experimental thesis on ornamental plastics was later published in “Fascicolo” ( a magazine edited by Plana ). He began his professional career by concentrating his efforts on “minor” architecture with the Superintendence of the Environment and Architecture for the Marches. His interest gravited toward the study of “cade di terra” or houses of clay. At one time this type of construction was typical in rural areas in the Marches and used a clay-straw mixture rather than cement-based mortar to for building. Thereafter, he turned to designing everyday articles and the industrial market. He gained valuable professional experience as a director of design working for one of the leading manufactures of household items on the international market ( F.lli Guzzini ). His search for the new experiences and an unswerving desire to develop.
